Show Setters

Use a different block for each part of the spike.

Blocks are placed using three different calls.

Upper head: main cone-like part.
Lower head: y-axis reflection of the previous one.
Shaft: column generated downwards from the middle of the head.

Surface Type

Defines the type of the surface generated.

"Natural": flat terrain depicting the basic outline of the biome.
Obstructive: can't be replaced by the spike generation.
Replaceable: does not obstruct the spike generation.

Spike Position

The position where the Spike is generated.

Spikes are usually populated in the top block of a random position on the xz-plane and only if the block is Snow. This behaviour is ignored here for the sake of visualization, and it is instead generated at the given y position. This allows them to be generated under some impossible conditions.

Head Offset

Offsets the generation point upwards.

Value range: [0-3]

Normally, when this offset is zero and is not a tall spike, only the upper part of the head is exposed.

Head Height

Height of the upper half of the head.

Value range: [7-11]

Since the lower half is a mirror of the upper half, the full head length will be twice this value minus one. Head radius depends on this value, since it is calculated as half Head Height plus Extra Thick. Consequently, the following properties are affected:

A spike can only be tall if radius is greater than one.
The width of the shaft is three if radius is greater than one, otherwise it is one.

Extra Thick

Increases the width of the spike in one.

Value range: [0, 1]

Head radius depends on this value, since it is calculated as half Head Height plus Extra Thick. Consequently, the following properties are affected:

A spike can only be tall if radius is greater than one.
The width of the shaft is three if radius is greater than one, otherwise it is one.

Extra Tall

Defines if the spike is generated tall.

Probability: 1 out of 60

A spike can only be tall if its width is greater than one, see Head Height or Extra Thick. The amount to be incremented is defined by the following property, Extra Height.

Extra Height

Increment applied to the upward offset of the generation point.

Value range: [10, 39]

Applied only if the spike is tall, see Extra Tall.
